L'insertion par le travail: une mise à l'emploi précaire

Seite 83

The study of back-to-work schemes involving forms of economic activity such as work experience demonstrates that far from helping people escape precarious financial and professional situations, these schemes maintain and even reinforce them. The back-to-work approach depoliticises un- and underemployment, and transforms it into a psychological rather than social issue. Furthermore, by creating a hierarchy of job-seekers according to their employability, it makes forms of collective action all but impossible and contributes to the institutionalisation of precarious employment.
